LEWISTON — The Public Theatre is set to hold Equity Principal Auditions for its 2024-25 season from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, July 15, at the theatre, 31 Maple St.
Equity members may schedule an audition appointment by calling 207-782-2211 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday to Thursday.
Local non-Equity actors may attend the auditions at the theatre. Call the office at 207-782-2211 for information on availability in the audition schedule.
Bring a picture/resume stapled together.
To audition, prepare two two-minute contemporary monologues appropriate for the shows listed in the season breakdown or audition sides for roles in “Dracula, a Comedy of Terrors” or “Halfway There.”

All acting roles are paid positions. Rehearsals are generally noon-8 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
The Public Theatre is open to non-traditional casting and encourages participation by performers of all races and ethnicities.
