LEWISTON — Lois Jean (Cavers) Laliberte, 77, of Pond Road, died Oct. 5, at her home with her loving family close by her side, after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born in Lewiston, Dec. 25, 1933, the daughter of Richard Melville and Florence Beulah Kathleen (Oldford) Cavers. After graduating from Lewiston High School in 1953, she went to Central Maine General Hospital Nursing School, where she graduated in 1955.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Gerard Laliberte, whom she married on Jan. 29, 1955; her children, Kim Darlene Haberkorn (Michael) of Lewiston, Debra Ann Lindsey (Christopher) of Newport and Scott Eric Laliberte (Sherry) of Monmouth; grandchildren, Matthew Haberkorn (Sara) and great-granddaughter, Kayla Haberkorn of Rochester, N.H., Bryan Lindsey (Jennifer) and great-grandchildren, Erick and Ethan Dodge and Everett Lindsey of Chelsea, Teasa Wilkens (David) of New York, and Evan Bowers and Kate Laliberte of Monmouth; her siblings, Janet Adams of Lebanon, William Cavers (Marcia) of Poland, Martha Seger of North Carolina, Joyce Marcoux of West Gardiner and Linda Zimmerman (Willam) of Manchester, N.H.; and many nieces and nephews.
