BETHEL — The Bethel Library is hosting a “destash” yarn sale fundraiser at the library on Saturday, September 21. There will be yarn of various weights and fibers, knitting needles, and other knitting/crocheting equipment available. Everything will be priced for quick sale. Stock up on yarn for yourself, or for gifts or knitting circles.
To stock this event, the library is putting out a call for yarn donations from knitters and crocheters like you. Donate your good quality yarn that you’ve fallen out of love with so another crafter might find the right yarn for their upcoming project. One person’s “destashed” yarn is another person’s treasure.
Please drop off yarn donations at the library front desk from August 1 to September 14. The library is looking forward to this community event and finding yarn a good home.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
