Shirley A. Johnson
AUBURN – Shirley A. Johnson, 74, of Auburn, unexpectedly climbed the stairs to Heaven on July 17, 2024. A beautiful, hardworking, intelligent woman who had the ability to always put others before herself without complaint.
She had award winning potato salad and mashed potatoes. She had the most beautiful smile and loved to laugh, She loved talking on the phone with her best friend and sister, Mary Jabbusch. Yellow roses, wind chimes and swinging were all her favorites. Yard sales and reading and Dunkin coffee were a perfect day. Compassion and Kindness towards every animal she ever met from the stray squirrel, possum, to her dogs. She loved with an intensity, a fierce love that never left you in doubt.
Although the road was sometimes hard, she could always run circles around most. Her strength and determination to live until her last breath was admirable. We are left to navigate life without her, how we will do that, only time will tell.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Johnson; son, Wallace Hardin and wife Beth of Indiana, daughter, Crystal Lyon and husband George of Auburn; four grandchildren, Steven, Sabrina, Ivy and Cora; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Jenny (Micheal) Steinmacher; several nieces and nephews; her babies Reuben and Augie.
She was preceded by both her dad and mom, Garland and Mary Stidham; and two brothers. FMPPRL
