To the Editor:
I’m writing in favor of Charlotte Nutt being my State Representative. Charlotte is an independent candidate for House District #79, the towns of Paris, Sumner, West Paris, and Woodstock.
She chose to be an Independent because she is determined to serve everyone. Beginning in March, she started going door-door to introduce herself. She went to every door, no matter their preferred political party. She has knocked on 1,800 doors, just herself! Charlotte is a city/town planner. In this role, she works directly with town managers to address their concerns and find solutions. She has a pulse on what towns need and can be a good liaison between us and Augusta.
I’m excited to have someone representing us who is both very smart and passionate about her concerns. Let’s vote her in so she can be our advocate at the State House.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
