CARTHAGE — The Carthage Historical Society will hold its annual meeting Tuesday, Oct. 18, at the museum. There will be a 5:30 pot luck supper with the meeting to follow.

Bottle drive

RUMFORD — A bottle drive will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, in the areas of Rumford, Mexico, Dixfield, Peru and Andover.

Bottles may be brought to Four Corners Redemption. Proceeds benefit the Chisholm Head Start.

BETHEL — Girl Scouts of Maine will host a parent information and registration meeting for the Bethel/Woodstock community at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at the Crescent Park Elementary School.

Girls and adults are invited to attend the meeting to find out about the many different and fun ways today’s girls are participating in Girl Scouting and how the programs and activities inspire them to reach their personal best. Participants will also learn about the flexible options and benefits of becoming a Girl Scout volunteer.
