AUBURN – Dolores “Dolly” (Chartier) Demers passed away Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, with her close family by her side. Dolly was born Sept. 7, 1947, to Carmen Dionne Zadakis and Joseph Chartier, in Lewiston.
She married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Demers in 1968, with whom she shared her beloved son, Steven Demers. Dolly and Bob were married for 44 years, before Bob’s passing in 2012.
Dolly worked at General Electric in Auburn for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed lunches with friends, shopping, going to the casino and playing BINGO with friends and family.
Dolly was a loving mother and friend, and was truly adored by everyone who knew her.
Dolly was predeceased and now reunited with her husband, Bob, and her parents, Carmen and Joseph.
Dolly leaves behind her son, Steven Demers of Auburn; her precious fur babies, Robbie and Teddy; her siblings, Peggy Hawley and husband Rob, Jimmy Chartier, Tammy Noyes and husband Howard, Peter Zadakis, John Zadakis and wife Kathy; nieces and nephews, Wendy Allen and Jennifer Hinkley, Tina Corliss and Dean Chartier, Nathan, Megan, Isaac, Kaleb, Kendall, and Shelton Noyes, Cody and Kasey Zadakis, and Zachary Zadakis.
She is also survived by many grand nieces and nephews, whom she adored. Dolly also leaves behind close friends: Jackie, Nancy, Phyllis, and Danny, and close cousin, Janet Beaucage Dubois
Visitation will be held on Thursday Oct. 3 at Funeral Alternatives, 25 Tampa St. Lewiston from 10 – 11 a.m. A service will follow at 11 a.m.
