This summer, I had a surprising meeting with Congressman Jared Golden.
Some friends and I were at a restaurant, and the congressman came in. He recognized one of my buddies (we’re all veterans) and asked if he could sit with us. He asked what we do for work, our hobbies and how our experience was at the Veterans Administration.
My friend told him that his travel reimbursements were being held up; Jared immediately put him in contact with his staff.
I figure most politicians wouldn’t sit down with a stranger and give him the time of day, but Jared was different. I know when he goes to D.C., he cares about us. We may not agree on everything, but he knows that and votes with all of his constituents in mind.
This November, let’s send our representative back to D.C., vote for Jared Golden.
