As a former employee in a drug/alcohol rehabilitation facility, my eyes were opened to the tough master of addition; you are the slave. It destroys families, finances, health and well-being. There is no mercy.

Another tough addiction to beat is gambling.

Don’t be fooled into thinking “it’s just having fun,” or is an easy way out of your financial woes. It is not.

It is well documented that gambling casinos bring with them an increase in drinking and drugging, not to mention all the other vices.

Is that what we want in our state?

Let’s be careful what we’re saying “yes” to. People should look long term and not just at the immediate need for jobs. Yes, there is a need for jobs, but not just any job.

Let’s keep Maine clean for the children and grandchildren.

No compromise. I support a “no” vote on Question 2.
