Aime Martin

BENTON – Aime Martin, 91, passed away on Oct. 15, 2024, at home with his family by his side. He was formerly of Rumford.

Aime was born in Mexico, on Oct. 8, 1933, the son of Samuel and Alice (LaBlanc) Martin. He attended schools in Mexico and served as aSP3 in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. He worked for Boise Cascade Paper Mill in Rumford for over 40 years until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W and the Snowshoe Club.

Aime married the love of his life, Joan Roderich on April 7, 1956, she passed away in Peru, on Feb. 10, 2013. He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Martin of Benton, and Pamela Dow of Rumford; two sons, Gregory Martin of Peru and Timothy Martin and his wife Debbie of Fairfield; eight grandchildren, Liane, Jamie, Kara, Jeffery, Abigail, Tiffany, Jacob, Jeremy; great-grandchildren Logan, Parker and Leo; a brother Raymond of Turner. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife and three brothers, Gerard, Leo and Camille, and sisters Bertha Arsenault, Anita Theriault and Cecile Laflamme

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius & St. John’s Church, Saturday Nov. 9, 2024, at 12 p.m. Interment will immediately follow in the St. John Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
