JAY — On Sunday, Oct. 13, Pastor Chris Dalessio opened the service in prayer. Music was provided by Becky & Dick Pelletier. Old fashioned hymns sung were: “At Calvary”, “In My Heart There Rings A Melody“, and “There is Room At The Cross For You.”

The sermon was:  “How shall we now live”. The Book of Genesis is about beginnings. It tells us about the first people, Adam and Eve, created by God, and how He made them to be excellent. It also tells us about the beginning of sin and our separation from God. When Adam sinned, sin entered the world.

Satan has been tempting mankind since the Garden of Eden. Satan is real. There will be good people in hell because they trusted their own human efforts and wanted to be in control of themselves.

God cared enough to send His own son, Jesus Christ, to pay for our sins. God sent His son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.

In closing, hymn “Gentle Shepherd“ was sung, there was an alter call, and then Pastor Chris gave the Benediction.
