Empty Chairs Requiem
Church of the Good Shepherd
Oct. 25, | 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
The Church of the Good Shepherd in Rangeley invites the community to a service of remembrance on the first anniversary of the Lewiston Shootings. The candle-light service will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, and will feature short readings and prayers, as well as time to reflect at eighteen prayer stations, each set with an empty chair representing one of the lives lost in the tragedy. The empty chair is a familiar symbol that reaches across secular and religious traditions to represent the mystery of both presence and absence.
Night Sky Tour
With Northern Stars Planetarium, Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust. Oct. 25, | 7 – 8 p.m.
John Meader, owner of The Northern Stars Planetarium, will lead a night sky tour. Learn about constellations, galaxies, and much more! Participants must register. Participants are asked to bring a lawn chair and to leave flashlights and pets at home. NSP will provide telescopes.

Kemankeag Lodge is hosting a Roast Pork Dinner with all the fixins! $15 a plate. All funds raised go to the Save The Lodge Fund.

Sarges Sports Pub, Oct. 26, | 9 p.m. – 12 a.m. Calling all you ghouls and goblins! Saturday, Oct. 26, is the annual Sarge’s Monster Bash. Come rock out with the Tom Ball Band all night. Prizes for the best costumes.
