LEWISTON — Alexandrine A. Dallaire, 103, of College Street, a former resident of Broad Street, New Auburn, died Thursday, Oct. 13, at Montello Manor after a short illness.
She was born in Lewiston, Nov. 13, 1907, the daughter of the late Pierre and Sophie (Thibodeau) Dupere. On Sept. 3, 1934, she married Romeo Dallaire, who died on Dec. 5, 1982. Prior to retirement in the local shoe industry, she worked as a fancy stitcher for many years. She was a member of the New Auburn Senior Citizens, the bowling league and former member of St. Louis Church. Mrs. Dallaire enjoyed playing cards with friends and family on Saturday evening and over the years enjoyed traveling including Hawaii and California.
She is survived by one daughter, Rita Letourneau and her husband, Robert, of Lewiston; daughter-in-law, Betty Dallaire of Lewiston; four grandchildren, Linda Letourneau and her wife, Patricia Fox, Gerry Letourneau and his wife, Brenda, Cheryl Brushwein and her husband, Gary, and Angela Carter and her husband, David; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Lorraine Dallaire, who died on July 17, 1993; a son, Normand Dallaire, who died on Sept. 17, 2010; and 10 brothers and sisters.
