LEWISTON — The L & A Veterans Council invites all color/honor guards to participate at the Musical Tribute to Veterans at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the Lewiston Armory.

The event, free and open to all, is held to thank veterans for their service.

High school bands, choirs and others are also involved. For information concerning or to register a guard, contact event Chairman Willie Danforth at 777-4759.

The council will also host a program at 1:30 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, corner of Main and Lincoln Streets. Members will unveil the 22nd stone containing 216 names of veterans or military members. They will also dedicate the new monument, a military Jeep.
