Donald J. Beliveau

AUBURN – Donald J. Beliveau, 86, passed away at Hospice in Auburn surrounded by his loved ones on Feb. 7, 2025, after facing a courageous battle with dementia.

He was the son of Armel Beliveau and Rhea St Germain of Lewiston. He went to school in Lewiston and then joined the Army National Guard. He married his wife, Dolores L. Gravel Beliveau on April 25, 1959, and she passed away Nov. 14, 1984 after 25 years of marriage. Donald then married Jeannine E. Lemay Beliveau on Aug. 3, 1985 and was married to her for 39 years. He started his career in plumbing with Dick’s Plumbing and Heating. He then went on to start his own business with his partner, Norm Dulac (Norm & Don’s Plumbing Heating) for many more years until he retired.

Don enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling and dancing with his wife. He also liked being outdoors and going fishing, ice fishing, hunting, and going for long walks with friends.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Dolores L. Beliveau; son, Daniel Beliveau; brother, Roger Beliveau; parents Armel and Rhea Beliveau; brother-in-law, Barry White, and daughter-in-law, Anne Beliveau.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannine Beliveau of Lewiston; sister, Lorraine White of Minot, brothers-in-law, Roger Martel of Lewiston, Robert Martel and his wife Kelly of Auburn; children Donald Beliveau Jr. of Skowhegan, Debra Fecteau and husband Richard of Minot, David Beliveau of Mechanic Falls, Michael Lemay and wife Sue of Greene, Diane Dennison and husband Karl of Auburn, Nancy Lowe and husband Scott of Lewiston, Carol Spencer and husband Ray of Auburn and Mark Lemay of Portland, Ore. He also had 19 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

There will be a funeral held on Friday Feb. 21 at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 1080 Lisbon St. in Lewiston.
