Kerry Lynn Schott
GREENE – Kerry Lynn Schott, 52, passed away on Monday, Feb. 24, 2025 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, N.J. She was the daughter of John and Patricia Schott of Greene, (birth parents Denis Picard and Donna Souliere Gilbert) and mother to a beautiful daughter, Cora Lynn Schott.
Kerry was born in Biddeford in September 1972. She grew up in the small town of Greene, among goats, sheep, a horse named Streaker, and an Irish Wolfhound named Bermadeau, who was her gentle giant. While in Maine, she enjoyed many outdoor experiences including motorcycling, waterskiing, canoeing the West Branch of the Penobscot and Lobster Lake as well as climbing Katahdin with her sister, Karin Schott, and many cousins, aunts and uncles. She graduated from Leavitt High School. In her late teens and early 20s, she began moving south. For many years, she shared her home with her dog, Rascal, who was her trusted companion. She was in the Willingboro, N.J. area for the past 20 years where most recently she was a care provider.
Kerry was as feisty as she was kind and courageous. She was a fantastic storyteller and had great timing while telling jokes. Throughout her life, she overcame many struggles. She has loved and been loved. She will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her parents John and Patricia Schott; her birth parents; her daughter, Cora Lynn Schott; siblings Karin Schott (Meg), Natasha Levy, Kim Bailey and Sean Gilbert; grandchildren Lyrik and Larkyn; and many aunts, uncles and cousins in the Schott and Donaghy families.
She was predeceased by Cora Lynn’s brother, Jon Devoe; her grandparents Margaret Donaghy, John Donaghy, Catherine Schott and Emil Schott. She is survived by many friends in the Willingboro, N.J. area who considered her family.
The family would especially like to thank the Emergency Department and Neurosurgery Team at Cooper University Hospital for their tremendous and compassionate care when treating Kerry. The kindness, hugs and condolences shared by the hospital caretakers were appreciated by Karin and John as they were by Kerry’s side during her final days.
A celebration of life will take place in the summer.
