Arvena “Vena” Fogg
AUBURN – Arvena “Vena” Fogg, of Auburn, passed away peacefully at the age of 85, surrounded by loved ones. Born in York County, she was the last of 22 children born to Effie (Hill) and Chester Pierce.
A gifted tailor, Arvena spent her career working at Flanders and sewing privately, but in her free time, she found joy in using her talents to give back. Among her many heartfelt projects, she lovingly crafted over 800 hats for the CMMC Nursery, a reflection of the warmth and kindness she shared with the world. Beyond her sewing, she found joy in cooking, baking, gardening, and, most of all, in the company of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, all 21 of her siblings, and three precious babies lost at birth. Arvena is survived by her husband of 66 years, Hartley Fogg; her children, Crystal Conant of Auburn, Cathy Fish of Beartown, New York, and Jason Fogg of Auburn; four grandchildren, Erin Cobb, Joseph Fish, Elyse Conant, and Christopher Fish; and six great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and The Hospice House for their exceptional care and support in Arvena’s final days.
“You’ll never know, dear, how much we love you.”
