BETHEL — The Outing Club will be hold its annual ski sale on Oct. 28 and 29 at the Crescent Park School to benefit the nonprofit program.

Brad Clarke, president of Bethel Outing Club, said doors will open at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 28 and run until 9 p.m. On Oct. 29 the doors will be open from 9 till 11:30 a.m.

“Thousands of items of new and used alpine, telemark, cross-country, snowboard and outdoor gear from a dozen ski shops from throughout northern New England will be on sale as well as used equipment from individuals,” Clarke said.

Individuals are invited to bring non-obsolete equipment to sell, subject to a 15 percent consignment fee on Friday, Oct. 29, after 3 p.m.

“All used gear brought by individuals not sold or removed by the seller by 9 p.m. Friday night will be on sale Saturday at half price,” Clarke said. “So, shop early to find that great deal.”

The annual event is to raise money for the nonprofit club which strives to promote Nordic skiing as a sport and recreation in the greater Bethel and western Maine area. The club places an emphasis on youth and family outdoor activities.

Bethel Outing Club offers ski programs at Crescent Park School and Telstar middle and high schools. The club is also part of the Bill Koch ski league, which has largest membership group in cross-country skiing in the United States.
