Barbara Ann (Sanderson) Pelletier
AUBURN – Barbara Ann (Sanderson) Pelletier, 86, died on April 12, 2025, at Clover Living Center after a brief illness.
She was born in Auburn on Feb. 15, 1939, to John and Eleanor (Hubert) Sanderson. She has been a resident of Auburn all her life, graduating from Edward Little High School in the class of 1957 where she was a member of the band. It was in band that she met her sweetheart and future husband, Raymond Pelletier, whom she married on June 20, 1959.
After high school she graduated from Bliss Business College with a secretarial degree. Barbara was a proud housewife and school volunteer.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Raymond Pelletier; her sister, Catherine Hopkins (Stephen) of Greenville, R.I.; her son, Brian (Debbie) of Auburn, daughter, Wendy of Sullivan, N.H., daughter, Betsy Johnson (Steven) of New Gloucester, daughter, Maria “Mia” Pomerleau (Michael) of Auburn; grandchildren Jessica Pulliam (William), Maria Ganio-Charest (Benjamin), Gregory Ganio and Ashley Pelletier; great-grandchildren Aether and Kaciann Bunnell, Finley Bettez, Mackenzie Charest, Mina and Raymond Jordan Pulliam.
She was predeceased by her parents; infant twin grandsons George and Albert Pelletier; and great-grandson, Brandon Pelletier.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 26, at the Albert & Burpee Funeral Home, 253 Pine St., Lewiston. Visiting hours will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. and a light reception afterward.
Interment with committal prayers will take place on Monday April 28, at 10 a.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery, also in Lewiston.
