Alice A. Lavoie

LEWISTON – Alice Adrienne (Roy) Lavoie passed away peacefully at CMMC on Tuesday April 22, 2025.

She was born in Lewiston on Dec. 23, 1940 to the late Adrien and Mildred (Cote) Roy. She grew up and attended schools in Turner. She lived and worked various jobs off and on in her lifetime in the Lewiston, Auburn and Turner areas, but her primary joy in life was single handedly loving and raising her five children. She also took great joy in being a part of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s lives as well.

She is survived by her sister, Lucille Rankin; her sons Mark Lavoie and spouse Belinda (Pelletier), Philippe Lavoie, and Roy Lavoie, as well as her daughter, Heidi Lavoie and partner Julien Desrosiers. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Jocelyn Lahey, Larissa Michaud, Joseph Lavoie, and Wade Desrosiers; her great-grandchildren, Andrew Michaud, Tucker Tufts, and Harper Lahey.

She was predeceased by her parents; along with her son, Scott Lavoie; grandson, Dennis Lavoie; and brother-in-law, Roscoe Rankin.

The family wishes to thank the Staff in the ICU at Central Maine Medical Center for their amazing care and compassion during this difficult time.

Visiting hours will take place at the funeral home on Saturday May 3, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a Liturgy of the Word at 12 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment with committal prayers in the mausoleum will take place immediately afterwards at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston.
