Jane M. Poulin

LEWISTON – Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 11, 2025, at d’Youville Pavilion, Lewiston, following a long illness. She was 93.

She was born in Lewiston on March 3, 1932, and graduated from St Dominic’s High School in 1950. She was a member of Literacy Volunteers, YWCA Crafters and Holy Cross Church. She retired from Optometric Associates following a 22-year career.

Jane loved holidays, reading mysteries, oil painting, hand painting bird houses, sewing, needlework, gardening and knitting bonnets for premies at the local hospitals. She always had a project going. But she loved her family most of all.

She is survived and dearly missed by her high school sweetheart and beloved husband of 73 years, E Robert “Bob” Poulin; three children, Judith Erskine, Michael Poulin and Lisa Bonenfant; five grandchildren, Joseph and Nikki Erskine, Matthew and Michelle Poulin and Bryan Bonenfant; four great grandchildren, Taylor and Bailey Erskine, Theodore and Eloise Poulin; and two great-great grandchildren, Marina and Eleanor Erskine.

Jane was predeceased by her parents Louis J. Vachon and Leodora I. Cloutier Vachon; her sister Marcella Pelletier Bowen and her brother Bertrand Vachon.

A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
