Ralph Henry Hall

RUMFORD – Ralph Henry Hall, 82, of Rumford, passed away peacefully at his home on May 11, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

A proud veteran, Ralph served four years in the United States Navy followed by two years in the Naval Reserve. After his military service, he dedicated 36 years to a career with the railroad, earning the respect and admiration of his coworkers through his tireless work ethic and steady presence.

Ralph had a deep love for the outdoors. He found joy in hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and boating—activities that reflected his adventurous spirit and appreciation for nature. More than anything, Ralph valued time with family. He especially cherished family gatherings, where he could be surrounded by the people he loved most.

Ralph is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, with whom he shared his life since 2002; and by his children, David Hall and his wife Chrissy, Scott Hall, Jill Cook and her husband Tom, Todd Breton and his wife Kathy, Katie Frisbie and her husband Chad. He is also survived by his extended family, Doug Duguay, Frank Duguay and his wife Crystal, Toby Duguay and his wife Josette. Ralph was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren, each of whom brought him endless pride and joy. In addition, he is lovingly remembered by his sister, Janice Douglass and husband Skip and his brother, Irvin Hall.

Ralph was predeceased by his parents Ellsworth and Neva Hall; his brother, Keith Hall, and sisters Aloise Nelson and Amanda Lowell.

He will be remembered for his quiet strength, generous heart, and unwavering integrity. Ralph’s legacy lives on in the love he shared, the lessons he taught, and the memories held dear by those who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 28, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 403 Buckfield Rd., Turner, ME 04282. Please join us as we celebrate the life of this amazing man!
