Cleo A. Bosse
CARY, N.C. – With heavy hearts, the family of Cleo A. Bosse, of Lewiston, announces her peaceful passing on May 19, 2025, at the age of 86. A proud matriarch, Cleo was the heart of the Bosse family—known for her strength, warmth, and resilience.
Widowed early in life, Cleo raised her four children, Daniel, Sandra, Ann, and Paul, with unwavering love and determination. She worked in various roles, including florist at Dube’s Flower Shop, spinner at Libbey Mill, staff member at Russell Park Manor, and with Connie’s Catering, where she made lifelong memories.
Proud of her French-Canadian heritage, Cleo passed down beloved family recipes and traditions. Her home was always filled with food, laughter, and love.
Above all, Cleo treasured her role as “Memère” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her grace, stories, and presence will be forever cherished.
Cleo was predeceased by her beloved husband, Clement; her mother and father, Albertine and Joseph Long; and her siblings Dorine Labbe, Linda Perryman, Joan Cloutier, and Darrel Long.
She leaves behind her children, Daniel Bosse and his wife Jamie of Lewiston, Sandra Millay and her husband Jim of Cary, N.C., Ann Eckley and her husband Wesley of Merrimack, N.H., and Paul Bosse and his wife Traci of Yucaipa, Calif. Cleo also leaves behind her grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews; and friends who will carry her memory forward with love.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, May 27, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Fortin & Pinette Group, 217 Turner St., Auburn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 28, at 11 a.m. at St Philip Church, 2365 Turner St., Auburn followed by committal prayers at St Peter’s Cemetery, Lewiston.
