Norman Joseph Paradis
SARASOTA, Fla. – Norman Joseph Paradis, 88, passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side, on Jan. 7, 2025, at Tidewell Hospice House in Sarasota, Fla. Norman was born on May 10, 1936, in Auburn, Maine, to Simone and Joseph Paradis.
A hardworking and dedicated man, Norman was a successful Restauranteur and the proud owner of the Chuck Wagon Restaurant in Livermore Falls, Maine, which he opened in 1967 and operated for 43 years. He had a deep love for worldly food and culture and was a firm believer in the value of hard work. Above all, Norman cherished his family, always living by his motto: “Family comes first.”
Known for his clever wit and wry smile, Norman brought joy and wisdom to those around him.
Norman was predeceased by his parents; his brother Paul Paradis; his son, Michael Paradis; and his grandson, Nathaniel Paradis.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 1/2 years, Tamalie Paradis; his children, Marc Paradis, Andre Paradis, and Joseph Paradis; his two grandsons Philip Paradis and Michael Paradis II, one granddaughter, Annika Paradis; and five great-granddaughters.
A funeral Mass to honor Norman’s life was held on Feb. 3, 2025, at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church in Sarasota.
A Graveside Service will be held in Maine this summer, on June 21 at 1 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery, 445 Park Street, Livermore Falls, Maine. Local Arrangements by FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine.
Norman’s family extends their heartfelt thanks to all his friends, family, and the staff at SMH and Tidewell Hospice House for their compassion and care during his final days.
