Marie Lorraine Lance
LEWISTON – Marie Lorraine Lance, 90 years old, was surrounded by family when she went to be with the Lord on May 30, 2025. Lorraine was born in Lewiston to Diane Belanger and Alphonse Boulette on April 4, 1935.
After graduating from LHS in 1954, Lorraine worked at the family restaurant, until meeting Grover Lance, a young sailor from the Brunswick Naval Base. They married in Boston on Jan. 26,1961, and Lorraine became a Navy wife, raising her two children, Cynthia and Michael, in Maryland and California before returning to Maine and residing in Greene. Lorraine and Grover were married for 57 years until Grover passed in 2015.
Lorraine enjoyed living in her home in Ocala, Fla. until returning to Lewiston in 2024. She adored her family and enjoyed hobbies such as knitting, gardening, and puzzles. Lorraine loved watching a good crime drama and was a dedicated member of Grace Episcopal Church in Ocala.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Adams and her son, Michael Lance and his wife Jennifer; her grandchildren Ebony Adams and Bowie Lance, her step-grandchildren Haid Tanous and Marla Eshleman; and her great-grandchildren Breanna, Marissa, and Tyree, Jr. She was predeceased by her husband Grover; her grandson Tyree Adams; and her siblings, Armand, Anita, Roger and Ray Boulette.
