Debra Morin Ouellette
POLAND – Debra “Debbie” Morin Ouellette, 56, of Poland, passed away on May 28, 2025, after an eight-year battle with ovarian cancer. Born Dec. 17, 1968, in Lewiston to Robert and Wendy Morin, she was the youngest and only daughter of four siblings.
Debbie’s childhood was filled with joyful summers at No Name Pond—swimming, fishing, waterskiing, and playing with her family and their dog. After graduating from Lewiston High School in 1987, she attended Salve Regina University and the University of Maine before pursuing a career in interior design and real estate. She designed bedspreads for Bates Manufacturing and later worked on home and airplane interiors, as well as substitute teaching and restaurant work.
At The Black Watch Restaurant, Debbie met Daniel “Dan” Ouellette, whom she married on Sept. 14, 2002. Together they raised their daughter Olivia and embraced Dan’s three children. Their life was centered around family, boat rides, bonfires, and quiet mornings on Middle Range Pond.
Debbie and Dan were business partners in real estate, property management and plumbing, enjoying travel and spending time with their children, grandchildren, and beloved dogs Teddy and Daisy.
A passionate athlete, Debbie completed numerous marathons—including Boston and Sugarloaf—and proudly finished an Ironman triathlon after her cancer diagnosis. She also loved golf, skiing, snowmobiling, and cherished her family camp in Eustis and her Florida home, where she worshiped at Morningside Church.
Debbie’s grace, strength, and kindness left a lasting impact on everyone she met.
She is survived by her husband Dan; daughters Danielle (Eric Brothers), Nicole (Ethan Stevens), Olivia (Owen McCarthy); son Steven (Miranda Wood); grandchildren Camden, Evelyn, Karsen, and Khenley; brothers Michael, Gary, and twin Danny; sisters-in-law Joyce Campbell and Linda Holden; and many extended family members.
She was predeceased by her parents, several aunts and uncles, brother-in-law Paul Ouellette and nephew Seth Morin.
The family extends sincere thanks to Hospice House, Andwell Health Partners, MMC Gynecology Oncology, her doctors, and all who supported Debbie with love and care.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation for Debra on Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 5 p.m. at The Fortin & Pinette Group Funeral Home, 305 Alfred A Plourde Parkway, Lewiston, Maine 04240.
