I would like to thank Karin Tilberg for her May 23 op-ed that drew attention to possible cuts to research funding for ALS and other fatal diseases.
In December of 2023, I lost my only sister to ALS. The manner of her cruel death still haunts me. I would like to ask everyone to please contact our representatives in Congress to urge the government to avoid cuts to this crucial and potentially life-saving research. Hopefully, a cure will eventually be found for ALS and other such devastating diseases.
