Christine Sue Baker Scribner
AUBURN – Christine Sue Baker Scribner, 72, of Harrison, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Andwell Hospice House. She was born in Norway on April 21, 1953, the daughter of Arthur and Mina Baker. She attended school in West Paris and graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1971.
She worked at the Maine Veterans’ Home for over a decade and was well-loved by both her co-workers and the residents there. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, laughing and reminiscing about the good ole days. She also found joy in watching the bluebirds and the loons. Christine was an avid reader and found pleasure in researching her genealogy. She loved decorating for the holidays, camping, and watching wildlife. Christine, fondly known as Grammie, could bake the best homemade brownies from scratch. She cherished the simple things in life and brought happiness to anyone who had the privilege to know her.
Christine is survived by her husband Randall Scribner of Harrison; her daughter Apryl Kennison; her grandchildren Kaitlyn Moss, Zakkery Kennison, Ashlei Moss, and Alex Pierce; great-grandchildren Nyla Moss, Owyn Zenik, Adley Pierce, and Vyolette Pierce; siblings Leon Baker and Larry Baker; niece Cathy Ring, along with many other nieces and nephews; and best friends Linda Raiamiaki and Charlotte Wormall. She was predeceased by her son Eric Kennison; her parents Arthur and Mina Baker; and siblings Jimmy Baker, Dicky Baker, Marjorie Mailloux, Patty Thurlow, Polly Croteau, and Jeanie Ring.
