Richard “Dick” Michael Dulac

BUCKFIELD – Richard “Dick” Michael Dulac, 79, of Buckfield, Maine, passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Dick was born in Lewiston, Maine, on April 21, 1946, to Chester and Jeannette Dulac.

Dick dedicated 38 years to teaching middle school math and science and coaching softball. He had a gift for connecting with students, many of whom fondly remember him as their favorite teacher—thanks to his silly sense of humor, deep care, and enthusiasm for learning.

He proudly served six years in the National Guard and was an avid outdoorsman, and gardener. Whether he was snowshoeing through the woods, dancing with his beloved wife, or tending to his vegetable gardens, Dick found immense joy in nature.

He married the love of his life, Garrianne Dulac, on August 24, 1991. Together, they created a life filled with laughter, love, and outdoor adventures. One of his favorite shirts read: “Some people look all their life for their fishing buddy, I married mine.”

Dick is survived by his wife, Garrianne Dulac; his two daughters, Angie and Lisa, three stepsons; and eight grandchildren.

There will be no services at this time.

Arrangements are under the care of The Fortin & Pinette Group Funeral Home | 217 Turner Street Auburn, ME 04210 | (207) 783-8545

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Dick by embracing life’s simple pleasures: take a walk in the woods, plant a garden, go fishing with someone you love, and remember to laugh
