James Normand Daigneault

LEWISTON – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Daigneault, 66, of Lewiston. He was the son of Normand and Jeannine (Gilbert) Daigneault.

Jim attended Lewiston schools, graduating in 1976 from Lewiston High School, and went on to graduate from CMVTI to become a Master Electrician. He married Carolyn Ritchie in 1977, and they welcomed their daughter Jamie-lyn in 1978; they later divorced. Jim enlisted in the USAF and served for eight years. When he returned from the service, he began working for the Cianbro Corporation.

Jim married Diane (Boilard) Paradis in 1993, and they welcomed their daughter Jenna Nicole in 1994. He went on to work at Mid Maine Waste Action Corporation in 1994 as their plant electrician until the time of his injury in 2017.

In his younger years, Jim enjoyed snow skiing and water skiing, and was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. Jim loved spending time with his family going on day trips and taking long drives that would inevitably end with going out to eat somewhere. If you know, you know.

He was predeceased by his parents; his stepson, Jonathan Paradis; and his nephew, Tyler Morin.

He is survived by his two daughters, Jamie-lyn Judd and her boyfriend, Travis Haskell, and Jenna Nicole Dufour and her husband, Cameron. He is also survived by his two sisters, Patricia Belanger and her husband George, and Lizabeth Morin, his brother, Greg Daigneault; his two grandsons, Watson Paradis and Camden James Dube; and his former wife, Diane Daigneault. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Special thanks go to his devoted best friend Bob Dube and the staff on 3 west at d’Youville Pavilion who took such great care of Jim.
