Paul G. Blaisdell Jr.

LEWISTON – Paul G. Blaisdell Jr., 85, of Farmington and formerly of Rumford, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Central Maine Medical Center. He was the husband of Simone P. (Bolduc) Blaisdell.

He was born in Rumford on April 28, 1940, a son of the late Paul G. and Tessie A. (Arsenault) Blaisdell Sr. He grew up in Rumford, attending local area schools and graduated from Stephens High School. After high school Paul joined the U.S. Navy and served his country for the next nine years.

Paul was a longtime retail manager for several establishments. He was also a member of the Elks, American Legion and VFW and enjoyed golf, playing cards, hunting, fishing.

Besides his wife he is survived by his three children Steven G. Blaisdell and his wife Trina of Rumford, Tammy S. Holder of Lakeland, Fla., and Kimberly A. Ray and her husband Matthew of New Gloucester. He also leaves his twelve grandchildren Joshua Blaisdell, Amanda Blaisdell and partner Theresa Dow, James Thibeau and wife Priscilla, Thomas Thibeau and Trinadi Milligan, Jacob Bellegarde and Christa Vattes, David Holder, Mitchell Holder, Shane Holder, Bethany Edwards and husband Matthew, Tyler Ray and wife Meghan, Nathan Ray and wife Morgan, Emily Pietrowicz and husband Joshua and seventeen great grandchildren Tatum Blaisdell, Seth Blaisdell, Kennedy Thibeau, Jameson Thibeau, Wyatt Thibeau, Warren Bellegarde, Hazel Bellegarde, Mia Holder, Killian Holder, Koa Holder, Mia Edwards, Sadie Edwards, Adley Edwards, Maggie Ray, Theophilus Ray, Shemaiah Ray, Zephaniah Ray. He also leaves behind two brothers Richard Blaisdell and his wife Toni and Timothy Blaisdell, both of North Fort Myers, Fla., and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Joanne Powell and Pat McMillan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service, with military honors, will be held at East Auburn Baptist Church, 560 Park Avenue, Auburn, on June 27, 2025, at 1 p.m. Burial in Abbotts Mills Cemetery, Rumford will be private.
