Nancy (Cox) Morris

BOOTHBAY HARBOR – Nancy (Cox) Morris, 84, a resident of Boothbay Harbor, passed away peacefully, Sunday, June 22, 2025, at St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor, surrounded by her family. She was born on Dec. 20, 1940, the daughter of Cecil Cox and Evelyn (Lincoln) Cox Stinson. She was a 1959 graduate of Wilton Academy, a graduate of Gates Business College, and attended University of Maine in Augusta and Farmington. On Sept. 24, 1975, she married Malcolm “Mac” Morris. She owned and operated the Lunch Pad and Splashdown Swimming Pool in Livermore Falls and managed the Livermore Falls Roller Rink. Nancy was a Water Safety Instructor, teaching swimming in Wilton, Chesterville, Livermore Falls and Jay Recreation. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Wilton, Girl Scouts and former leader of a Wilton Troop. She was also a member of Sea Tow, Boating/Fishing Club, and at Country Club Estates in Venice, Fla., and served on the Rules committee for three years at CCE. She enjoyed sailing, traveling, gardening and her family. She sailed the Maine coast extensively as well as much of the Florida coastline and the Florida Keys. She also went as a crew member on a privately owned sailboat to Havana, Cuba. She is survived by her husband Malcolm Morris of Boothbay Harbor, her children, Carrie Barnes of Jay, Marsha James of Solon, Merritt Morris of Turner, and Mavis Dubord of Thomaston. Also, special grandsons, Jacob Morse of Northport, Fla., and Austin Greeley of Orono, special granddaughter, Vanese Barnes of Ithaca, New York, and special great-grandson, Jordan Morse of Auburn, Maine, her sister Cassandra Starbird, of Livermore and brother, Bertron Cox of Gorham. She was predeceased by her parents, loving sister, Irene M. Cox on July 28, 2004, and her loving son, Charles “Chuck” Greeley on April 19, 2008. Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m., Monday, June 30, at FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine. Visitation will be held from 11-12 p.m., at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 100 Fayette Road, Livermore Falls, Maine.
