AUBURN – Queda Jane Billings, 76, of Bethel, passed away Sunday morning, June 29, 2025, at Andwell Hospice House.
She was born in Weymouth, Mass. on Aug. 23, 1947 the daughter of George W. and Elizabeth J. Powell Holbrook. Queda started working as a substitute teacher, then she became the school secretary at Woodstock Elementary School retiring after 34 years.
She was an active member of the Bryant Pond Baptist Church, playing the piano and singing in the choir. She enjoyed flowers, birds, playing the piano and organ, crocheting and knitting, and knit baby blankets for the Rumford Community Hospital.
On Sept. 20,1969, she married Scott C. Billings. Scott died March 5, 2012.
She is survived by two sons, Scott and his wife Jessica of Milton Plantation and Aaron of Mexico, her daughter, Melissa Nickerson and her husband Scott of Plaistow, N.H.; six grandchildren, Scott and Joshua Billings, Alexis Newton Noyes, Ethan and Elizabeth Nickerson and Hannah Billings; great-grandchildren Oakley, LJ, Joseph Hand and Bailey Holman; her sister, Laura Cote and husband Roland of Livermore; nephew, Dane DeConzo, great-nephew, Dylan DeConzo and great-niece, Taylor DeConzo.
Family and friends may attend funeral services on Thursday, July 3 at 2 p.m. at the Bryant Pond Baptist Church with interment in Abbotts Mills Cemetery.
