Cerrita E. Redmond

CANTON – Cerrita E. Redmond, 89, a resident of Jay, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Pinnacle Health and Rehab in Canton, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 21, 1936, in Jay, the daughter of Emile and Eva (Gagnon) Dubord. She was a 1954 graduate of Jay High School.

On Sept. 5, 1960, in Jay she married Robert “Bob” Redmond. Cerrita worked as a secretary for her father at Dubord’s Insurance. Her primary role was as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was a member of Emmanuel Assembly of God. She was an avid walker and reader and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert “Bob” Redmond of Jay; her son, Richard Redmond and wife Dixie of Hampden, her daughter, Mary Redmond-Luce and husband Ransdall of Jay; sisters Bernice Allen and husband Charles of Jay, and Linda Jewett of Jay; four grandchildren, Alex and Joshua Redmond, Jacob Luce and wife Kassaundra and Natalie Luce; two great-grandchildren, Everett and Eloise Luce.

She was predeceased by her parents; their baby, Robbie Redmon who died at birth; brothers Eugene and Larry Dubord and sisters-in-law Olive and Jean Dubord.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16 at Finley Funeral Home, 15 Church St., Livermore Falls. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 15 at the funeral home. Interment Fairview Cemetery, Farmington.
