Karen Murphy
RUMFORD – Karen Murphy, 59, died Saturday July 19, 2025, at the Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston with her family by her side.
Karen was born in Rumford on Feb. 4, 1966, the daughter of James and Alice (Jodrey) Sennett, Jr. She was a graduate of Telstar High School and worked with the support team at Oxford County Mental Health. She enjoyed gardening, going to the racetrack and beach, playing cards, her grand pups and the New England Sports Teams, especially the Red Sox and Bruins.
Karen was married in Rumford on Oct. 1, 1994, to Dwight Murphy who survives of Rumford. Other survivors include her daughters Karissa Murphy and companion Nicholas Hutchins of Rumford and Kendra Murphy and companion Robert Buotte, Jr. of Mexico; sister, Kathi Knowles and husband Bob of Dixfield, sister-in-law, Chastity Murphy of Rumford; and a special cousin, Dale Roberts and wife Lori of Rumford.

A Celebration of Life will be held 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday July 27, at the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
Those who desire may contribute to a children’s hospital or a Ronald McDonald House in her memory.
