Elaine Merrill
SHALIMAR, Fla. – Elaine Merrill passed away peacefully in her home July 22, 2025, with her beloved husband and high school sweetheart of 62 years, Norman Merrill Jr., by her side. A proud graduate of Edward Little High School, class of 1963, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose warmth and strength touched everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her three adult children, Joyce Paradis, Bradford Merrill, and Nathan Merrill. She leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward her legacy of kindness, resilience, and love.
Elaine dedicated her career to serving others, working tirelessly as a psychiatric nurse with a special devotion to helping veterans. Her compassion, strength, and unwavering support made a lasting impact on the lives of those she cared for and worked with.
She was predeceased by her loving parents, John Jordan and Carmen Jordan; as well as her siblings, John Jordan and Elizabeth Arsenault.
Elaine is now at peace and reunited with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ — a source of great faith, strength, and comfort throughout her life.
Please share your memories and stories of Elaine with her family on their memorial wall, so that all may celebrate the joy, love, and legacy she leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you plant a tree or a rose bush in her name — a living tribute to a life well lived and a spirit that will continue to grow, bloom, and inspire.
