Bernadette “Bunny” Vallee
LEWISTON – Bernadette Rose Vallee died unexpectedly of an accident at her home on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
Bunny was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on April 21, 1947. She was raised by her parents Emile and Theresa Bell in Lewiston. Bunny went to Holy Cross School and later graduated from Lewiston High School, class of 1965.
She was married to her former husband, Robert Warner. Together they had a son, Chad Warner, who was born in Lewiston on Jan. 29, 1968. Later, Bunny met, and married Andre Vallee. They were married on Dec. 28, 1974, in Orlando, Fla., where they made their home with Chad for many years. In 1981, they moved back to Lewiston to be close to her family and back on Bell Farms.
Bunny worked in manufacturing facilities, including Boise Manufacturing, American Stabilis, Geiger Brothers and Tambrands. She surrounded herself with family and friends, attending any gathering or event that was happening. She enjoyed going to the beach, dancing, skiing and roller skating. She never missed an opportunity to ride on the back of Chad’s motorcycle and explore the coast of Maine. Bunny always made herself available to help and care for anyone in need. She loved animals and her pets were a big part of her life.
Bunny was predeceased by her husband, Andy; her parents; sister, Camille Bell, brother-in-law, Daniel Vallee; nephew, Leo Vallee; and good friend, Judy Bubier.
Bernadette is survived by and will be deeply missed by her son, Chad of South Carolina; her siblings Michelle Bernadette Bell, Suzanne Dostie (Richard), David Bell (Jennifer Zanca), Raymond Bell (Patricia) and Beverly Bley (Donald) of Virginia, and sister-in-law, Rose Vallee of Florida. She leaves behind many cousins; nieces, nephews; and friends.
