Beverly Akers Swan

ANDOVER – Beverly Akers Swan, 86, died Friday Aug. 1, 2025, at St. Vincent Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Berlin, N.H. She was a resident of Andover.

Beverly was born in Rumford, on June 18, 1939, the daughter of Raymond and Minnie (Pawe) Akers. She was a graduate of Andover High School and worked in the cafeteria at the Andover Elementary School. She then worked at Mill’s Market in Andover, and was a frequent member of the coffee club. She was a member of the Andover Congregational Church and also sang in the church choir; she was a Brownie Leader for the Girl Scouts and was president of the Andover Historical Society for many years. She studied genealogy tracing her family back to the first settlers in the United States. She enjoyed quilting, blue grass music, motor cycling, snowmobiling and treasured the memory of touring Alaska.

Beverly was married in Andover, on September 27, 1958, to William Swan who died in Andover, ME on September 16, 2014.

She is survived by her daughters, Kaye Moren and husband Dave of Columbia, N.H., and Karen Swan and husband William Bray of Andover, sisters, Linda Percival of Andover and Julia Gribbin and husband Tim of Solebury, Pa., grandchildren, Erica Aubut (Craig), Jeremy Moren (Jenny) and Carson McKay, great grandchildren, Emma and Alex Aubut, Jacklyn and Jasper Moren, and brother-in-law Roger Swan of Mexico.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Friday August 22, 2025 at the Andover Congregational Church. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Andover.
