Therese L. Turgeon
LEWISTON – Therese L. Turgeon, 98, died peacefully on Aug. 4, 2025.
She was born in Lewiston, a daughter of Ferdinand and Alice Blanchette Lacombe and attended local schools. She married Gerard R. Turgeon on Sept. 17, 1949.
Therese was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the VFW Post Aux #1603, Auburn. She was an avid card player and enjoyed playing computer games. She was also an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching the Boston Bruins and Boston Red Sox. Therese enjoyed bowling. She bowled in the Bates Mill league and acquired many trophies in her bowling career.
She enjoyed travelling to Arizona to visit her brother, Bert, and his wife Dell over the years. Therese also enjoyed playing bingo and trips to Foxwoods with her daughters with the senior citizens bus as part of the New Auburn senior club. She also loved her children and grandchildren very deeply.
She is survived by her daughters Antoinette St. Hilaire and her husband Ronald of Auburn, Lucille Gagnon and her husband Maurice of Lewiston; grandchildren Scott St. Hilaire and his wife Gina, Christine St. Hilaire-Gagnon and her husband Brian, Gerard Gagnon and his girlfriend Dejai Steele; great-grandchildren Brayden St. Hilaire and his fiance Alexis Corbin, Quincy Jordan-St. Hilaire and Elijah Jordan-St. Hilaire. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews that she loved.
Besides her parents and husband, Gerard, she was predeceased by sisters Antoinette Lacombe and Jeannette Doucette, brothers Willie, Robert, Alphee, Roger and Bertrand.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to D’Ouville 4 West for their loving and wonderful care they provided.
A graveside service will be held at Gracelawn Memorial Park on Thursday Aug. 14 at 11 a.m.
