Shelby Thorman, of Bethel, graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maine at Orono with a bachelor’s degree in social work. During her undergraduate studies, Shelby completed an internship with the Substance Affected Youth (SAY) program through Penquis, where she worked closely with middle school students, providing encouragement and guidance while serving as a positive role model. She found much enjoyment within this environment.
