Florence C. Weeks

SOUTH PARIS – Florence C. Weeks, 81, of Norway, passed away on Saturday, Sep. 6, 2025, at the Maine Veterans Home.

She was born in Norway on August 4, 1944, the daughter of Robert W. and Ruth Lois Hill Thomas. She graduated from Oxford Hills High School and had been employed at several local businesses to include The Handy Store, Norway Laundry, B. E. Cole Shoe Shop, Oxford Plains Speedway and she retired from T. D. Bank. She was also co-owner of I-95 Speedway in South Carolina and Week’s General Store.

Florence is survived by her son Scott Whitman and wife Patty; granddaughter, Erika Whitman; stepchildren Reginald Weeks and wife Wendy, Nathan Weeks and wife Nancy, Cindy Goodwin and husband Brian, Lisa Millett and husband Roger and Leslie Sweatt; several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; her sisters Gertrude Moody of Waterford, Lettie Dvorscak and husband James of Casco and Roxane Thomas of Waterford; her brothers Robert L. Thomas of Norway and Randy Thomas of Minot; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her sister Roberta Nickerson; her brother Roland Thomas; her husband Francis Weeks; her companion Lester A. Williams, Jr.; and Scott’s father, Granville Whitman.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Chandler Funeral Home, 45 Main Street, South Paris with interment to follow at Norway Pine Grove Cemetery in South Paris. Family and friends may attend visitation on Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
