William H. “Bill” Nickerson
LIVERMORE FALLS – William H. “Bill” Nickerson, 92, of Livermore Falls, Maine, passed away peacefully on Sept. 5, 2025. Born Jan. 12, 1933, in Orange, NJ, Bill graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy and Dartmouth College, served in the U.S. Army, and enjoyed a lifelong career in banking.
Bill shared over 68 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Nancy, and traveled the world with her on many fun adventures. He had a wide range of passions — vast love for classical music of all forms, and dabbled over the years with photography, stamp collecting, cooking, much gardening and reading — and anyone who knew him knew that his biggest passion of all, besides Nancy, was enjoying food.
Bill was an active member of Emmanuel Assembly of God in Livermore Falls, where he cherished his faith and community. He is survived by his loving wife Nancy (Kantenwein) Nickerson; his three children, Douglas Nickerson, Wendy Nickerson and spouse Clarence Young, and Amy Noyes and spouse Randy Noyes; three grandchildren, Stephanie Blumberg and partner Jared Hicks, Jacob Chicoine, and Amanda Chicoine and partner Mike Montagna, four great-grandchildren, Hayden, Vivian, Sullivan and Arlo Chicoine; two nieces; and many dear friends.
Bill will be remembered for his kindness, humor, adventurous spirit, love of learning, delight in food, and the love he shared with all who knew him.
An informal and intimate Celebration of Life was held at The Fortin & Pinette Group Funeral Home on Monday, Sept. 8.
