For the third time this season Portland Hearts of Pine forward JayTee Kamara was named to the USL League One Team of the Week. He was joined by captain Mikey Lopez. It was the first such honor for Lopez, who moved from midfield to right back in Wednesday’s 3-2 road win at Greenville Triumph.
Coming off the bench, Kamara scored Portland’s second goal and assisted on the game-winner in added time by Titus Washington.
Lopez assisted on Portland’s first goal scored by Masashi Wada in first-half added time, made four tackles and won 12 one-on-one duels, according to the club’s press release.
Portland (7-4-9), winners of three straight matches, will take on league-leader Chattanooga Red Wolves (12-2-8) at 6 p.m. Saturday at Fitzpatrick Stadium.
