Jacqueline C. Goulet
SANFORD – Jacqueline C. Goulet, 92, formerly of Lewiston, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, under the care of Northern Light Hospice at Mercy Hospital in Portland.
Jacqueline was born in Auburn on Nov. 4, 1932, a daughter of Alcide and Ophelia (Gilbault) Bouvier. She attended Edward Little High School and was part of the class of 1951. Her work years in Lewiston involved stitching at the Bates Mill, transistor assembler/tester at Raytheon, and computer data processing and some bookkeeping at Champoux Bouvier Insurance Company on Pine Street, where she finally retired.
On Feb. 10, 1951, Jacqueline married Guy D.A. Goulet at the St. Peter’s & Paul’s Church chapel. Together, they fostered three sons, Paul, Marc and Andre, and celebrated 55 years of marriage.
Once they were both retired, they sold their apartment building on College Street and resettled in Sanford, moving in with their son, Paul.
Jacqueline enjoyed her retirement years with her husband the most, while wintering for three months each year in Cocoa Beach, Fla., always looking forward to the sunshine, warmth, and camaraderie they had found there.
Jacqueline was predeceased by her husband; parents; two brothers, Laurier and Normand; and one granddaughter, Sarah Dawn.
She is survived by her three sons, Paul, Marc and his wife Terry (Boulay), and Andre; two granddaughters, Danielle (Goulet) Demarsico and Krista (Goulet) Mathieu; and two great-grandsons, Graham and Parker Mathieu; and several nephews, nieces; great-nephews and great-nieces. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and friends.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Albert & Burpee Funeral Home, 253 Pine St., Lewiston. A Liturgy of the Word Service will follow at 11 a.m. also at the funeral home. Interment, Maine Veterans’ Cemetery – Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta.
