Rebecca L. (Morris) Lavoie
LIVERMORE – Rebecca L. (Morris) Lavoie, 86, of Livermore and formerly of Turner, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2025, at her home. She was the wife of the late Raymond L. Lavoie, who passed away in May 2011.
She was born in Leeds, on June 22, 1939, a daughter of the late Nelson Morris and Lillian (Damon) Morris and her companion Floyd Fish. She grew up in Turner attending local area schools and graduating from Leavitt Institute in 1957.
On Dec. 13, 1958, she married the love of her life Raymond. They had 53 wonderful years of marriage before he passed.
Becky worked at Rangeley Heel Shoe Factory, HE Callahan and co-owned L&P Variety in Turner. Upon retiring, she worked at the Greene IGA.
She loved to travel and go to casinos with her husband. Becky also enjoyed playing Yahtzee and could play for hours. However, her greatest enjoyment was spending time with family and friends, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren cooking Sunday dinners. She was known as Nana to all!
Becky is survived by her two children, Joline Beardsley and her husband Alan and Michael Lavoie and his wife Tracy; her eight grandchildren, Jason Lavoie and his wife Christina, Jonathan Lavoie and his wife Megan, Matthew Lalemand and his companion Samantha Turcotte, Alexis Beardsley, Ryan Lavoie and Riley Lavoie, Christian Cummings and his wife Kelsey and Haley-Jo Kilgore and her husband Kurt as well as her great grandchildren Julia, Luke, Lily, Lennon, Ella, Payton, Parker and Alden. She also leaves behind her two sisters, Norma Levasseur and Sonia Plourde and several nieces and nephews.
Becky was also the mother of the late Kenneth Lavoie, who passed away in May of 2023, the grandmother of the late Nathan Lalemand, who passed away in September 1988 and the sister of the late Raymond, Robert and Ronnie Morris and Edna Perry.
The family would like to give special thanks for all the wonderful years of care to Elite Homecare, especially Jennifer, Alyssa, Gabby, Laurie, Courtney and Mary, as well as to Andwell Home and Hospice, especially Emily for their care and compassion.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025, at 1 p.m., at Keene’s Mills Cemetery, North Parish Road, Turner.
