DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Lisbon United Methodist Church at 14 School St. in Lisbon Falls will hold its annual Holiday Fair and Silent Auction on Friday, Nov. 7, from 5-7 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 8, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Many crafts, baked goods, plants, recycled Christmas items, books, and a great selection of silent auction items will be available. Also available will be soups and chowders to go. A huge craft fair is taking place at Lisbon High School on Saturday as well, so be sure to visit us while you’re in town, too!

ANSWER: This is a big weekend for Lisbon Falls, for sure. And if you go to the fair at the high school, you’ll see my daughter there! She’s excited about her first time participating in this very popular event.
I will say, the church members are very clever to hold an event the weekend of the fair and take advantage of all the activity. Our family has a special place in our hearts for this town and we wouldn’t miss this opportunity to stroll around to admire and purchase treasures and good food at the church and the high school. It’s a holiday tradition!
DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have faithfully read Sun Spots since it’s been in the Sun Journal. Can you please help me get folks together for some good, healthy fun?

Play would take place at Norway Savings Bank Arena in Auburn on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-10 a.m. Please contact me via email at [email protected].
Sun Spots, thank you for helping me get this message out to your loyal readers! — Norm, no town
ANSWER: This does sound interesting and fun. I’m not sure what costs would be incurred but Norm is probably referring to Silver Sneakers. If you’re interested, write him a quick note and ask him for the details.
