Jesse Allen Fish

PORTLAND – Jesse Allen Fish, 45, of Portland, Maine, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 1, 2025, in his beloved East Village of Manhattan NYC.

Born on Oct. 22, 1980, to Lorrie Parker and Gregory Fish, Jesse grew up in Livermore Falls and attended both Livermore Falls High School and the Maine School of Science and Mathematics. His curiosity and sharp mind led him to Dalhousie University, where he earned his degree in Computer Science in 2003.

Jesse built a career in data and analytics, working for the State of Maine, Spotfire, Recorded Future, Bank of America, AppNexus, and most recently Constellation Homebuilder Systems. He was known as the steady problem-solver and the person who could fix anything. Whether it was a complex system or the family computer that mysteriously kept downloading Limewire, he got it fixed.

But Jesse was so much more than his work. He loved his friends and family fiercely, even when he struggled to show it or be fully present.

He was a voracious reader, a quiet but talented artist, and someone who gave his time generously. He spent summers at the MSSM camp teaching kids to code, and later volunteered with HeatSeek in New York City, using his technical skills to protect tenants and make life better for people he’d never meet.

In his later years, Jesse became deeply spiritual. He wanted to understand himself, to heal, and to take the things he’d struggled with and transform them into something that could help others. He carried a heart that was so big it often felt too heavy, and despite being loved deeply by his family and friends, he struggled to love himself in the same way.

Jesse will be remembered for his kindness, intelligence, humor, and for the quiet bravery of holding on through his darkest moments. He stayed for us and we will always honor that love.

He leaves behind his father, Gregory Fish and his wife Penny; his mother and stepfather, Lorrie and Raymond Davis; his younger sister Kristen (Fish) Treml and her husband Marty; and his youngest sister, Chantelle “Telle” (Davis) Woodcock and her husband Michael. Jesse’s nieces, Adeline Treml and Katherine Woodcock, and his nephews, Ian Treml and Nathan Woodcock, will forever carry their Uncle Jesse in their hearts. He is now reunited with his grandparents, his life-long friend Aaron Hastings, and his beloved dog, Fizzgig.
