Regarding the Dec. 7 Mark LaFlamme column, “Lewiston moms worry teacher ruined magic of Christmas,” here’s my “Santa.”
Santa has been around super long. Santa Claus is for the small, innocent children. They’d see goodness happening at Christmastime. They could say what they wanted Santa to bring them. A tree would magically be set up overnight as if Santa came down the chimney.
We’ve diluted Santa, but that’s OK. Santa is “us,” anyway. Santas giving gifts those they love or like, or don’t know.
I believe in human Santas, human angels. I add God becomes involved when human Santas and angels do good, or speak blessings. I believe tightly shut doors open for blessings to pour out onto those having honest hearts.
All humans have been put through a wringer; let innocent children stay happy, heads-in-the-Christmas-clouds, and have their joyful Santa. We adults can settle for the “magic” of fresh starts, giving and becoming happy by doing it.
