Kahlil Singleton scored 20 points as Canisius used two big runs in the first half to take control and went on to beat Maine, 70-43, in a non-conference men’s basketball game Saturday in Orono.
After the Black Bears scored the first seven points, they allowed the next 15. Canisius (5-6) also had a 15-2 run later in the first half and took a 39-17 lead into intermission.
Keelen Steele led Maine (1-12) with 12 points. Mekhi Gray added nine.
Bryan Ndjonga and Mike Evbagharu each scored 13 points for Canisius.
