Georgette M. Berube
AUBURN – Georgette Marie Berube, 95, of Auburn, passed peacefully early on Monday, Dec. 16, 2025.
Born on Nov. 25, 1930, the daughter of Marius Berube and Maria (Poulin) Berube, she was a lifelong resident of Auburn and wintered in Florida for many years. She attended St. Louis Elementary School and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1948.
She worked her entire career as a banker at People’s Bank on Lisbon Street in Lewiston. Throughout her life she pursued her greatest passion traveling with her friends.
She was predeceased by her older brother, Gerard, in 1977.
She is survived by her sister, Louise (Berube) Chabot of Auburn; her nieces Marie Chabot Fletcher of North Carolina, Michele (Berube) O’Hara of Massachusetts, Joline (Chabot) Betsch of Auburn, Paul Chabot of Texas, Claude Berube of Bath, and Lisa (Chabot) Allen of Wells, their spouses and great-nephews and nieces.
The family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to her caregivers at d’Youville Pavilion and Central Maine Medical Center, all of whom treated her with great care and dignity.

A Liturgy of the Word and a Celebration of Life will be held at Albert & Burpee Funeral Home in Lewiston at a later date in the spring.
